About Me

I am currently a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Sociology & Anthropology at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. Originally from Maryland, I completed my undergraduate studies in cultural anthropology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and graduate training in anthropology at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. I study knowledge production and contested authority at the intersection of religion, science, and law across  diverse cultural contexts. My most recent project examines evangelical Christianity in South Africa and how people use conservative Christian frameworks to speak meaningfully to epistemological and social dilemmas facing the country.
